Rockets Trade Battier to Grizzlies for Thabeet

Hasheem Thabeet will never be as good as Yao (or Dikembe), but he’s a defensive big who could play a role on a reloading franchise: “Houston has traded Shane Battier to Memphis for Thabeet and a first-round pick, source tells Y!”

    Flip side, Memphis paid the number 2 pick last year plus another first round pick for a guy they picked 8th eight years ago.

    Difference is, Battier can play, is awesome defensively, and can be a leader in the locker room.
    Thabeet is a bust.
