Andrew Bynum: Suspended For a Couple Games

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin drops the knowledge: “The NBA handed out a two-game suspension for Lakers‘ Andrew Bynum on Sunday. Bynum was suspended without pay for a flagrant foul 2 against Minnesota’s Michael Beasley. It happened in the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 106-98 victory on Friday when Bynum turned his shoulder and sent Beasley crashing to the court in a mid-air collision when Beasley drove the lane. ‘Andrew’s [foul] looked bad and the kid fell hard,’ said Lakers coach Phil Jackson after the Timberwolves game.”

    Bynum was as rough as my gyn after my one night stand. Anywho, glad that big baby got suspended.

    The suspension should have been extended for a few more games; that foul could have ended Besley’s career. I watched the replay on that a few times and Beasley fell pretty hard on his hip; he was lucky his elbow didn’t get messed up from that fall. Bynum put a big elbow into his chest when Beasley was going to posterize him. Tsk, tsk, tsk… try that out in the Garden with the Knicks and Bynum would be walking out with more than a bruised hip.

    runNgun, you are a retard man. If anything, a two game suspension is a little much. Throw him out and give him the 1 game suspension that comes with a flagrant 2. There have been harder fouls this year without suspensions so slow your roll.

    Credit to NBA for their strict rules. the Bench would’ve have cleared if this happened last year.

    im a lakers fan but what bynum did was uncalled for. He was just mad that beasley was getting highlights. and from that angle bynum could have easily contested the shot without fouling.

    I agree with you to a certain extent, but I can’t let one of my teammates get blantantly attacked and not even show any signs of anger about it.

    Think about any good team. Do you think the Celtics would allow anybody to send one their players to the floor like that?

    U think the NY Yankees will allow someone to keep intentionally hitting Jeter?

    Do you think James Harrison is gonna let the Ravens’ hit Rothlisberger late play after play without laying Flacco out?

    @ Speedy, I’m not mad at the play. It was dirty and dirty plays happen everyday. Just mad that T-Wolves don’t look like a team. I could see if this was a pick up game with 5 strangers on the court, but doesn’t TEAMMATES mean anything to those dudes.

    Speedy if you and I spent 5 months out the year giving our blood, sweat and tears of hard work and I saw you flying helplessly thru the air, please believe it woulda been more than just one person being ejected.

    It’s great to know that someone is backing you up.
    But these guys know that they have to finish the game to do a good job and earn their money.
