Ashton Gibbs, Tyler Honeycutt, & Malcolm Lee Enter NBA Draft

It is that time of the year again when press conferences are set and NBA hopefuls announce their decision to enter the NBA Draft. And news has already broken of a few early-entrants.

Pittsburgh’s first-team All-Big East point guard Ashton Gibbs will reportedly declare for the Draft, but will not hire an agent — leaving the door open to return for his senior year.

In a conference call on Monday, UCLA’s forward Tyler Honeycutt announced his intentions of leaving UCLA for the NBA and hiring an agent.

Bruins starting point guard Malcolm Lee followed Tuesday morning by announcing his intention of putting his name in the Draft, but will not hire an agent.

As always, we will keep you up-to-date with the latest on players entering the 2011 NBA Draft.

Wow. For some reason the news of Ashton Gibbs surprises me cause I thought he was going to stay another year. (Thought I read that somewhere….) Meh.

    Come to the Thunder, Honeycutt

Honeycutt could be a solid pro, for sure. That news was pretty much expected.

Honeycutt should be a solid contributor, but I would hold off on hiring an agent until a CBA is hammered out. Unless you want to learn a foreign language whilst playing Euroleague ball

I’ll worry about this after the Finals.

Gibbs leaves, he’ll be the 2nd or 3rd best point guar in the draft. Honeycutt will be solid contributor and Lee, now that Larry Drew is at UCLA, he’ll be on the bench for a while.
