Corey Brewer Set to Sign With Mavs

It’s not official yet, but it looks like the Mavs are about to add a new piece as they get ready for the postseason push. Marc Stein has the scoop:

Good. The Mavs need this length and defense. Imagine IF Caron Butler comes back for the playoffs. Can we say…deep

    dammit! come on celtics!

Is it safe to say that he’s gonna be dunking on Fisher in the WC Finals

  • ClydeSays

Can’t see how he’d get minutes on the C’s after Pierce and Green. Can’t blame the kid for going for a few extra $$$.

  • manny

but the spurs could use that length…jefferson needed a good back-up

He’d be great for the Spurs… or the Mavs. I’m still surprised and annoyed that the Knicks let him go for next to nothing. WTF.

@Teddy some things just make you scratch your head…I’ve got no clue what the deal was there, they let him go for absolutely nothing….anyways Carlisle knows what he’s doing with that Mavs squad. They are gonna be a force come playoff time

    Manny – Spurs don’t need a back-up for Jefferson.
They’ve got Gary Neal to play the 3, and Manu can slide over when Hill and Parker play at the guard spots.
Mavs need another defender to help replace Butler. Peja isn’t exactly a renowned stopper. Marion backs up the 4 spot mostly, so the Mavs did well here.

Corey Brewer would be great on the New York Knicks as a backup reserve for Melo and Fields. Drop Bill Walker and make it happen, Walsh. To the KNICKS!

    Yes, yes, oui, verdammt ja!
Met him last summer and dude is an energy player and looooong. Great addition for the team of the season so far (3 huge win streaks, beat all the other contenders, weathered injuries to. 3 starters, got Mahinnmi, Stevenson and Cardinal to contribute in limited mins)..yep, Rick Carlisle seems to be doing a great job with his talented group.
And Dirk’s back to his high percentage shooting form.
    Me like.

SMH…”Calculator heads” must be ready to throw a parade for the Mavs.

some of these guys are just head scratchingly dull to even think about. Corey Brewer, Sasha Pavlovic, Mike Bibby, Troy Murphy. Yawn! I guess this really means Iverson and Sheed won’t be coming back then, eh?

Cosign Joey E. Balkman and Bill Walker are trash and being a slam reader as I am I like Bill but Brewer is a far better if for only his activity.

^and Dolan says Isiah isnt running things? hahahaha. Isiah must be running things if they’re keeping Balkman
