Gerald Wallace Is Still Mad About Trade from Charlotte

With Crash set to face his former team tonight, he still feels like they did him dirty by trading him prior to the Deadline. From the Charlotte Observer: “Wallace says that when he finally removed his Charlotte uniform, he thought it would be to retire. When he learned about the trade, he says he felt ‘stabbed in the back.’ He says his ‘heart and soul’ were in Charlotte. He says he felt as if he ‘was not wanted anymore.’ He says the trade was ‘like a slap in the face.’ The Trail Blazers are in town to prepare for tonight’s game against the Bobcats. He isn’t bitter. He’s candid. He was always candid. He never twisted the facts, or manufactured them, to curry favor with his employers. ‘He speaks the inconvenient truth,’ says Portland assistant general manager Bill Branch.”
