Gerald Wallace Is Still Mad About Trade from Charlotte

With Crash set to face his former team tonight, he still feels like they did him dirty by trading him prior to the Deadline. From the Charlotte Observer: “Wallace says that when he finally removed his Charlotte uniform, he thought it would be to retire. When he learned about the trade, he says he felt ‘stabbed in the back.’ He says his ‘heart and soul’ were in Charlotte. He says he felt as if he ‘was not wanted anymore.’ He says the trade was ‘like a slap in the face.’ The Trail Blazers are in town to prepare for tonight’s game against the Bobcats. He isn’t bitter. He’s candid. He was always candid. He never twisted the facts, or manufactured them, to curry favor with his employers. ‘He speaks the inconvenient truth,’ says Portland assistant general manager Bill Branch.”

He should have asked to be traded to the Knicks instead. Too late. Make it happen in the off-season, Walsh.

co- sign Robb. You’re on a better team now Gerald, gotta look at the positive.

If he keeps crying like that he will end up playing for the Heat. That’s mean coming from a Heat fan lol.

I can kinda see it, I mean dude was the last remaining player from the very first Bobcat team ever.
So he was down from day 1.
But yeah, he’s better off in Portland for sure.

G-wallace, just make it happen like you did at BAMA and in Charlotte. Your fans from Bama still rocking with you. I remember you coming to pick us up when you got drafted in your green Escalade. The Scotts and Prudes will always be for you.

Cosign everyone, except RunnGun (sorry bud)… Coulda been worse, could be in Minnesota, Jersey, Toronto, etc.

Reason #76863 why players should not give a eff about loyalty to a corporation: “Basically, he told me before the practice that I was good, that no trades were going to go down and I was OK and I didn’t have anything to worry about,” Wallace told reporters in Charlotte Thursday, his first day back in town since the trade. “Then I get home and bam, I’m traded.”

one of the last loyal players to his team. doesn’t work in today’s game. especially since they just dumped him for salary relief.

They traded him after they wore him out and asked him to play on injuries more than once. Not to mention he collected concussions that threatened to end his career and still fought on. I hate the fact they traded him.

    the trailblazers? contenders? haha

If i were crash i’d be happy i got traded just for the fact that i don’t have to wear those ugly unis anymore. For the love of god, somebody gotta burn them all down and get something new. he colors are horrible. the mascot is lame. If i were mike i’d rename my franchise to something like the north carolina lion kings, or north carolina black panthers, or Charlotte Cheetahs
