Kevin Love Planning to Stay in Minnesota?

According to NBA.com, Kevin Love doesn’t envision himself playing for another team once he hits free agency: “The Wolves have already won more games this season than last, with a month left in the season. Love, who clashed with [Kurt] Rambis last season, has seen that playing on a really bad team won’t keep him from individual accolades like making the U.S. World Championship team last year and the All-Star team this year — and as such, the source claims, Love isn’t going anywhere when and if he becomes a free agent.”

As much as I would like to say, “To the Knicks” and “Make it happen, Walsh,” he’s likely to stay in Minny (due to Papa Glenn and the CBA) or bolt to OKC.

I don’t have a clue what Kevin’ll do, and it’s great that he can get those individual accolades on a bad team. But you know what he can’t get on a bad to team? To the playoffs. The Wolves need to turn that ish around if they want to keep dude. He’s a winner.

Patience is a virtue Kevin Love.

Don’t forget the other former Minni standout who stuck around and gained massive respect for his accolades on this team : KG. (And KG was able to play in the playoffs…didn’t win much but still, hard to win against the Lakers that year anyways…)

KLove was the only allstar with a losing record.

@niQ There’s no doubt in my mind that if Sam Cassell wasn’t hurt, they would have won that last game and gone to the Finals.

Good look by Kev Love he will help turn that team around they one of youth movement teams that could make a splash next yr if ricky rubeo comes to da sota and also got B-Easy riding on his side things is looking nice to me.

@ Max: are u forgetting about Blake Griffin?

all they have to is fire rambis and keep drafting well. i cannot stress how bad rambis is. hes bad. real bad. micheal jordan drafting kwame brown bad.he just decided we are gonna run a triangle offense when the players dont fit into that style.

  • RunNGun

@Rich Rambis only had one draft (last year’s). The previous season, KAHN made all the picks before the Rambis hiring.

  • Jono

I don’t really understand all the fuss, he’s really not that good.

  • Justin

So, if the Wolves have more wins than last year with a month to go in the season, doesn’t that mean Rambis is doing a decent job?

  • rondo4mvp

Rambis is garbage he got nuthin but if he drafts well then give him a chance I mean nothings worse than kahn jeez

kevin needs to seriously weigh his options… because whether a new cba may limit his money n what not… his chances to play on a winning team in MIN will be slim to none once cp3, superman, and Mr. Dunkface(blake griffin)get on power squads… and he’s only going to play on the fiba world championships squad internationally… he wont make coach K’s ’12 olympics squad, so winning wont be easy to come by, unless MIN gets lucky in the draft… shoot up to #1 in the lottery and picks up Kemba or Jimmer they’re still going to suck for the next couple of seasons at least… rubio doesnt even wanna play in MIN
