Kurt Rambis’ Last Season With Wolves?

According to CBS Sports, there is a “significant push” with the Timberwolves‘ organization to replace head coach Kurt Rambis: “Of far greater certainty is the status of coach Kurt Rambis, who appears to be on his way out after only two seasons. Though management won’t make a final decision until the season is over, sources say there is significant push from within to make a coaching change. Atop the Timberwolves’ list of potential successors is Bucks assistant Kelvin Sampson, one of the people with knowledge of the organization’s thinking said.”

WTF? Kelvin Sampson? Is there going to be another recruiting scandal involved ala Taylor-McFail-Joe Smith? There’s just one thing I cannot understand about Kurt Rambis… you can’t run the Triangle Offense unless you have a Kobe or Michael Jordan-type player. On the flip side, that Wolves organization has not provided Kurt Rambis with the “said” player(s); it’s not very fair to Kurt. If Rambis has to go, so does Kaaaaaaaaaaahhhnnnnn! I can see that happening mid-season next year. Rambis back to the Lakers and Kahn can grovel before WALSH! To the Knicks! Make it happen, Walsh!

Kelvin Sampson was a POS as a college coach. As dirty as they come.
Not sure how he’d fare as an NBA head coach.

hire jerry sloan…he still got plenty of coaching in him
