LeBron James Heats Up

Safe to say the Heat have been both on and off at times this season, their first with all three superstars in tow. But at this point, things are looking much more on than off.

And why? Among other reasons, that LeBron James guy has been going wild. First Friday night, in the form of a 43-point outburst against the Hawks, and then Saturday night he dropped 33 (15-25 form the field) on the Nuggets. Not too shabby.

Via the Heat Index:

He’s simply on a different level right now. After shooting 76 percent the night before, James kept the fire aglow by nailing nine of his first 11 shots of the game. He didn’t frequent the line as he normally does, but he created space and capitalized on his cushion. With the way he’s shooting, the Heat may not want the three-day layoff between games.

We were all ready to declare Derrick Rose the next MVP, but if Bron Bron keeps this up, we might be forced to reconsider. If nothing else, the race for that Maurice Podoloff Trophy has officially tightened up.
