Phil Jackson Not a Fan of Miami’s Style of Play

Jackson continued to tweak the Miami Heat (and also continued to lose to them). Here’s the latest dig: “Jackson said he enjoys watching San Antonio’s and Boston’s style of games before adding: ‘I’m not a big fan of the style Miami plays. I like to see everybody involved.’ Jackson went on to compare Miami’s attack to ‘Xbox games or whatever those games are when you play 1-on-1.’ Jackson didn’t have all disparaging remarks, recalling that the Heat offense worked well enough in beating the Lakers, 96-80, on Christmas. ‘They moved the ball very well and got everybody involved,’ said Jackson, who noted there is some overlap with James and Wade being two of the best penetrators in the Eastern Conference, along with Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo.”

    I completely agree with Phil, I’ve been saying this for the longest. For some reason Coach Spo felt like he could let his team play like Team USA and they could win games. Not realizing that 3-deep with talent and 15-deep with talent are two very very different things…..however this does sound a little tacky after his squad just lost

    X-Box Ball>LA Laker Ball. Fact.

    Funnily, whenever I play 2K11, I have a harder time beating teams when I freelance, instead of moving the ball to open cats. Weird how that works.

    This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Doug Collins used to employ the “Michael at the top and let him go” offense and Phil immediately changed it when he took over. I’m sure there will still be lots of Phil haters that comment otherwise though. And Eboy, any video game ball is greater than real ball. Set it to Rookie and dominate. lol

    “Funnily”, i’m never surprised by Eboys blind faith in the least down-to-earth ballplayer ever (LeBron). Can’t wait for June

    @c_cantrell Twice! :D

    This one is easy to figure out… He does not like to have the Heat style of play against him. Phil likes the Spurs’ style because they lost to the Lakers by 16
