2011 NBA Draft Entries Update

The 2011 NBA Draft entry list continues to grow by the day. Rumors have spread that a few more others are contemplating on testing the NBA waters.

Tennessee’s Scotty Hopson and Tobias Harris are reportedly going to put their names in the NBA Draft but not sign with an agent. Although an official statement by the players or the program hasn’t been made yet, govolsxtra.com’s Mike Griffith recently tweeted on it.

And while Kansas Jayhawks’ Tyshawn Taylor and Thomas Robinson announced yesterday that they will be returning next season, guard Josh Selby seems to possibly be on his way out. Selby has missed class this week, in order to travel to Las Vegas and workout at the Impact Basketball Academy, where he is looking to “get a feel for where he’d potentially be” in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Selby’s teammates brothers Marcus and Markieff Morris reportedly met with an agent in Los Angeles last week and are close to making a decision on whether to return to Kansas for another season.

With North Carolina’s Tyler Zeller and John Henson announcing yesterday their commitment to the Tar Heel program for next season, the focus will now shift to super freshman Harrison Barnes — whose decision might take a while.

Others who’ve recently announced their intentions to enter the 2011 NBA Draft or test the waters are Illini’s Jereme Richmond, Georgia’s Trey Thompkins and Travis Leslie, and Georgia Tech’s Iman Shumpert.
