Caron Butler Eyeing Return to the Court

Caron Butler probably won’t get on the court for the Mavs-Blazers series (though his team certainly could’ve used his defensive prowess yesterday), but if Dallas makes it through, he may return in the second round, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports: “Caron Butler has not been cleared for contact, but he appears to have a shot to contribute to the Dallas Mavericks if they reach the second round. The next step will be getting cleared for contact work, which could happen in the next week or two. Butler has maintained that he would be ready to help the Mavericks by the second round of the playoffs. It’s looking as if he might make good on that pledge. The small forward suffered a torn patella tendon in his right knee at Milwaukee on Jan. 1. Butler has been a workout fiend during his time out with the injury, and the original estimate of four to six months for recuperation from the surgery would coincide with him being able to get back on the court soon.”

They would need him against LAL for sure. But man, the choke job that Dallas did is somewhat surprising. #FAIL

he needs to eye his sofa cuz he isnt going to help defensively with one leg

If BRoy can make the series more interesting by coming back why not. But, we all know BRoy is more clutch. Tough Juice can certainly make it tougher for Portland if he does decide to play.

Tuff Juice just saying this cuz he know the Mavs won’t get anywhere near the second round.

That’s IF Dallas survives against Portland.

  • BYU is Weird!

I’d be terrified that he’d reinjure it. I’d feel much more comfortable if Caron just rested this year and returned next year 100% Of course all of that goes out the window if they make it past the 2nd round! lol Put tough juice in then! He didnt get that name for nothin. (Despite that actually being the gayest nickname in the NBA)
