Frank Vogel Wants Pacers’ Head Coaching Job

After taking over for Jim O’Brien in midseason, Frank Vogel led the Indiana Pacers to a 20-18 regular season finish and a valiant effort in a highly competitive series against the Chicago Bulls. Now, he wants the “interim” title removed and become the organization’s next head coach: “One thing I learned the last three months is that I can do this,” he said. “I’m confident in my leadership abilities, my management abilities, my coaching abilities. It’s been an honor to coach the last few months, it would be an honor to coach in the future.”
