Pau Gasol Listed Day-to-Day With Bone Bruise

Good news for the Lakers regarding their two bigs — Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol — as it doesn’t appear that either of them suffered any sort of serious knee injury. The Daily News reports: “Pau Gasol didn’t seem too concerned about his sore right knee Monday afternoon. He went through a weight-lifting workout and then underwent some medical treatment on his knee, but he did not join his teammates for their practice. Later, he went for an MRI exam that revealed he has a bone bruise. The Lakers termed his status day-to-day, which means it’s uncertain whether he will play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz at Staples Center … Meanwhile, Andrew Bynum, the Lakers’ other 7-footer, said his right knee was fine and that he would play tonight against the Jazz. Bynum was hurt when teammate Lamar Odom fell into him in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Nuggets.”
