Sixers Sign Antonio Daniels

After being selected in the second round of the D-League Draft this summer, Antonio Daniels has worked his way back to the L. Congrats! “The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that they have signed guard Antonio Daniels of the NBA Development League’s Texas Legends. Daniels is the 21st GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 D-League season. Daniels (6-4, 205), has played 12 NBA seasons for Vancouver, San Antonio, Portland, Seattle, Washington and New Orleans. His last NBA season was with the Hornets in 2008-09.”

I gotcha Underdog. Loved him when he was with the Sonics. He straight balled as back up PG.

Hopefully he can help Turner a bit. AD turned a dissapointing beginning into a solid career.

It’s only fitting — to the Sixers on the floor where AI crossed him up TWICE and AD decided to quit on the play and take a nap. Although, he came right back and got AI on the very next play.

My basketball coach & phys. ed. teacher is really tight with Antonio, they balled together since college and are good friends. Glad to see he made his way back into the L, it’s a tough life for guys who rely on sports to make it through life, which is why my coach played it safe and stuck with school. Congrats to Antonio though. :)

Doesn’t the ‘D’ in D-League stand for ‘Developmental’? After a 12-year run, shouldn’t Antonio’s game be as developed as it’s going to get? What is he doing in the D-League?
