Carlos Boozer: Hip-Hop Star


Just like he does on the court during big Playoff games, Carlos Boozer underwhelms on the mic. From Fakeshore Drive, which has the audio: “Yes, that’s Carlos Boozer on verse one. Say word he’s the next Cedric Ceballos. It wouldn’t be an official Chicago event unless Twista showed up to pitch in. [Wednesday] night, the United Center debuted this Bulls anthem during game two of the Eastern Conference Finals, and now GMG is sharing the mp3 with the world.”

    Twista > every rapper that ever came out of Miami.
    And Common is the best rapper out the Chi.

    it was twista rapping about all the bulls so im pretty sure haha, but i didn’t pay too much attn to it.
    but i totally agree, common is hands down the best emcee out of chicago.

    His claim to fame is he raps incredibly fast. That’s it. Ain’t there some white boy rapping fast on a T-Mobile commercial or some sh*t. That sh*t is corny. Dude’s always been corny. Now…I’m not sure if he’s as corny as Trick Daddy Flo Rida, Pit Bull or Rick Ross…..I can guarantee you that those dudes have moved units in the 10′s of millions. Twista may have moved 10.

    the weird thing with me is, if i hear the beginning of a song i haven’t heard in a while, somehow i’ll end up knowing the lyrics. like i have some sort of subliminal lyric memory.
    like, ‘without me’ by em came on in a restaurant the other day and i still knew all the words.
    so i dunno maybe i do know some pitbull verses haha.

    Umm.. Rozay’s free mixtapes are better than any of Twista’s studio albums. Twista’s a gimmick – he taks fast, that’s it. Yeezy’s the best everything from the Chi. Common hasn’t been relevant since Like Water for Chocolate, and that was more than a decade ago.

    i like ye, for real. college dropout is one of my favorite albums.
    but he’s not a better lyricist than common, at least in my opinion. kanye sells more records though, for sure, but i don’t count that as sayin something. shout out to the suburban kids.
    kanye is weird sometimes though, he can be a dope mc/producer one minute, and then he talking about hoes again or somethin. sometimes he can be too hypebeast for me.

    I think Twista is dope not because of his rapping, but he has tight beats and tight rappers that rap with him. Same with Ja Rule, I wouldnt ever listen to Ja if he didnt rap half his songs with Irv Gotti and Cadillac Tah. But Twista is a much better rapper than Ja.
