It’s crazy how time flies. Believe it or not, Dennis Rodman hit the half-century mark today, so we figured there’s no better way to celebrate than to reflect on his wild NBA journey. From his inception with the Detroit Pistons, through his time playing with greats such as Michael Jordan and David Robinson to his ABA and overseas days, The Worm never failed to stay relevant and keep fans excited.

A second-round draft pick out of Southeastern Oklahoma State, the 6-7 undersized forward evolved into a five-time NBA champion and two-time Defensive Player of the Year. And despite his lack of height, Rodman held down the rebounding title for seven years in an era that many consider the toughest and most physical. He’s made some self-admitted transgressions, but personal opinion aside, there’s no debating how good he really was. This past February he was enshrined into the National Basketball Half of Fame, certifying him for life.
