It’s officially official: Derrick Rose is this season’s Most Valuable Player. He earned the award by leading his team to the No. 1 seed in the East and putting up 25 points, 7.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.

    When Derrick Rose was announced MVP, I stayed up so I could watch his acceptance speech on the internet from England. I’m Derrick’s biggest fan here in England but my parents will never let me get a jersey off the internet and they’re so hard to get in the shops where I live in England. So i have to show my support by listening to every one of D-Rose’s match’s that I’m awake for, and play like him when I play for my school as I’m the starting point guard. Thanks to D-Rose I got in to basketball.He is the best player in the L and the world and I’m proof that this fact is known the world round.

    happy for Derrick Rose because he has worked hard to put his team at the top of the league and it seemed as if one of either Joakim Noah or Carlos Boozer were hurt so he had to work with his other options to help get them the best record in the NBA.

    When derrick rose was announced MVP. I was extremely happy for him, because i had seen him since his rookie year and have always appreciated and loved his game. I’m from Los Angeles and i have to deal with the annoying Laker fans and my friends used to ask me why i was a Bulls fan and when he gave his acceptance speech and he was thanking his mom honestly my eyes got teary bro. I have never seen him play and I happy to say that Derrick Rose is my idol he might not be book smart but he is a great person.

    When Derrick Rose was announced MVP, I was at work secretly watching the press-conference live online wile quietly going crazy for the most deserving, talented, and gifted athlete in the game. As I’ve watched him take the court every single game, I think about how lucky and fortunate the Bulls organization and fans are to have Rose in the first place with the nearly impossible odds to draft him #1 and how he dedicates his life to improving as a player and a leader. In just three years, Rose has ascended to the top and for a Bulls fan like me, who has endured the struggles of the post-Jordan era, Derrick Rose is more than I could dream. I thought back to his days when I watched him play high school basketball at Simeon winning two titles and how proud I feel that he is representing Chicago so well. His game has evolved and is almost too good to be true. But aside from his mesmerizing and explosive ability on the court, Rose’s humble and selfless attitude earns him this distinction as the best. I was touched by his speech of acceptance of the award knowing that my dream of a Bulls superstar had been realized. Rose wants to win more than anything, and that’s all I can ask for as a true Chicago Bulls fan. Leading his team to the best record in the NBA he is a winner, and with his unforgettable highlights this year and in the past, he is the league MVP. Congrats to my favorite player, hero, and now league MVP Derrick Rose.

Nobody has ever done that before, and he won’t stop there. The whole city of Chicago and millions of people all around the World are celebrating him, but he can’t slow down. He led his team into the Playoffs as the first seed and I believe he and the Bulls can make it to the Finals. He has already made history but can he become the youngest MVP with a championship ring on his finger? I believe Derrick’s future holds much more than we can expect from him right now. He is going to light up this Bulls organization and if he works hard enough, we will hear his name amongst the greatest basketball players of all time. We’ve waited a long time for the next legend after Michael Jordan. The time is almost here. Even if you don’t like Rose or the Bulls, you have to admire what he has done for the league and the game of basketball. (I started playing basketball after seeing him a year ago and I’m looking forward to continuing it.) In a nutshell, he is a great player and he is going to be a major factor in this league for years to come. I wish Derrick and his team good luck for the Playoffs. They deserve to be champions.

    When Derrick Rose won MVP, I automatically had flashbacks of Chi-Town’s last MVP. The highlight reel in my mind, kept rolling one amazing feat after another of the GOAT and his legacy to this team. I was reminded from when Chi-Town’s lead Bull took them to the top to his final steps off that homecourt hardwood; Which left an entire city wondering in the back of their mind. . “Who will lead us now?” Suddenly i flashed forward to Rose and his incredible skill,and talent. Gettin the city back to a level of excitement i had forgetten existed. Chicago had a new leader. . .So when Rose was named MVP. . . i knew that Chicago would be back once again. . .

I’ve been emulating PG moves in the league since I was 12 trying to crossover like Timmy Hardaway to the handles and relentless drives that a young Gil used to do.
