Kyrie Irving Signs With Agent

Former Blue Devil Kyrie Irving has officially ended any silly speculation that he’d turn his back on the Draft and return to Durham. Via the The Herald Sun: “Kyrie Irving finalized the end of his amateur status by signing with sports agent Jeffrey Wechsler, Duke athletic department spokesman Matt Plizga said Saturday night. Irving, a freshman guard for Duke last season, came to an agreement with Wechsler’s agency, Florida-based 24/7 Sports Management, on Friday. Wechsler already represents current NBA players D.J. White of Charlotte and Quentin Richardson of Orlando. He also represented NBA veteran guard Larry Hughes. Despite a toe injury that limited him to just 11 games for Duke, Irving averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists last season. The 6-1 point guard from West Orange, N.J., is projected as a top-five pick for the June 23 NBA Draft. Irving declared for the draft on April 6 and said at the time he intended to sign with an agent and end his college eligibility. He is one of 69 college players who left school early prior to the April 24 NBA deadline to declare.”

If the Bobcats get him and pair him in the backcourt with Henderson, then trade DJ away for a center or small forward I would be happy.

Consign Betcats, As a NC resident. The BOBCATS traded away their best player, got nothing back and DJ sucks to me. Should have kept Felton.
