Mark Cuban Angry With the Officiating in Game 2

Last night, at long last, Mark Cuban emerged from his self-imposed cocoon and blasted the refs. ESPN reports: “Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is still refraining from talking to the media, but he made his displeasure with the officiating known at halftime of his team’s Game 2 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. While walking off the court, Cuban loudly asked officiating supervisor Bernie Fryer what he thought of the performance of referees Greg Willard, Bill Spooner and Tom Washington. A longtime NBA referee who was seated behind press row at the American Airlines Center, Fryer told Cuban that he thought Thursday night’s crew had been ‘great’ in the first half. ‘Are you kidding me?’ Cuban replied. ‘You’re not watching the same game I am.’ Cuban complained about moving screens and defensive three-second violations by the Thunder that he felt should have been called, among other things. ‘Horrible,’ Cuban said.”

Hey Cuban, how about those 24 free throws Dirk shot in Game 1 cuz the refs blew the whistle every time he backed a player down in the post?

  • Riggs

dirk still got his whistles in game 2, because those collison “fouls” were BS.

I mean, I like this current Mavs team and all, but everytime this idiot says some sh*t like this, I really can’t stomach thinking of him crying about the Bulls and Rose getting all the calls or the Heat getting favoritism again. STFU.

don’t blame the refs, blame your defense for not stopping okc’s guards.

  • Parker

Sure, there were some blown calls, especially when Harden was shooting the ball, but the game shouldn’t have come down to those kinds of things

  • Connor

Exactly, refs dont ever win or lose games

Great moment to open that flap of yours, Cubes. Not.
Refs did not decide this game, lack of D, wrong lineups by your coach, failure of players to adjust to OKC’s slight change in defensive strategy…
    Take your pic.

  • Red Star

Why because Dirk didn’t get 100 calls in game! Please, you lost and it had nothing to do with the refs it had everything to do with your D or lack of it!

but i thought this was a new cuban.. a quiet one…

Surprisingly, I thought it was one of the best officiated games I’ve seen this far in the playoffs…

Mark is hacked because the Thunder bench kicked the Mav’s rear. La Barbiche’s 23 points had nothing to do with bad calls.

I’m a lean mean shark machine baby!

If the Mavs meet the Heat in the finals again, Cuban’s brain is going to explode. If he thought Dwyane Wade got all the calls in their first finals matchup, he hasn’t seen anything yet.
