PJ Carlesimo Has Head Coaching in Mind?

The Scranton Times-Tribune is reporting that Carlesimo may be starting to scratch that head coaching itch: “Even though the Raptors only won 22 games this season, P.J. said he is enjoying his time in Toronto. For one thing, it brought him back to the east coast and enabled him to reconnect with his family. All of his previous NBA jobs involved coaching Western Conference teams – Portland, Golden State, San Antonio, Seattle, Oklahoma City. Still, if the chance presented itself, P.J. would not mind becoming a head coach again. ‘I have one more year there (on my contract) and then I’ll see what happens,’ P.J. said.”

Take out the “coaching” in the title and it would’ve been another epic SLAM Online double-meaning title.
Anyways, his last head coaching job was in OKC, wasn’t it?
    And wasn’t it a disaster?
Scott Brooks led that same team to the playoffs the next year.
But, dude does deserve another chance. It’s a shame most people only remember him for the Sprewell fiasco

I’d love to see a coaching shakeup for a bunch of these teams like Kings, Minny, Toronto. Rick Adelman’s future beckons.

He maybe has toned down a little over the years, but he has a reputation as a major jerk.. I met a former Trail Blazer in the mid 90s. (James “Hollywood” Robinson) whom told me str8-up, the entire team hated him…
