Charles Barkley’s War Against Miami Heat Fans Continues

Sir Charles continues to battle Miami fans, as he lobs verbal grenades at the Heat faithful, and the team they root for: “When asked if Miami is the worst professional sports town, Barkley, who reiterated his admiration of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, said: ‘Yeah they have the worst fans. No question. It’s not even loud in there. You’re at the game and you are like, ‘Man this place isn’t even loud.’ At least when you go to Chicago, it’s loud in there, it’s crazy down in Dallas but it’s not even loud in Miami.’ When the Heat were playing the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals, Barkley said he liked James and Wade personally, but he called the Heat a ‘whiny bunch.’ He didn’t back off that charge on Wednesday when he was a guest on ‘The Waddle & Silvy Show’ on ESPN 1000. ‘Listen, if the Miami Heat were playing the Washington Generals I would pick the Washington Generals,’ Barkley said with a chuckle. ‘It’s something about that team that annoys me. They just a whiny bunch and I can’t root for them.’”

    “Of Native Heritage”
    LOL!
You got some Apache or Navajo in you, LakeShow?
I’m actually about a quarter Native-American myself, so I guess I wouldn’t need a green card then, huh?

Who said the entire state was racist? you? I didnt. You would have us believe that there is NOT a rather abnormally large population of whites in AZ that are extremely bitter about the problems they feel have been brought on by mexicans illegally crossing into/ living in regions of AZ, and that these people have not also become bitter toward mexican americans in general. I live in Ca and its not like that here, or in NY or Oregon. But OK, and this is all based on the perspective of a Non-mexican, and 10-25 mexicans you work with. You would have us believe that Arizonas bad reputation on this matter is due to a few politicians. And that the level of racism in AZ is no higher than it is in Hawaii, Alaska,California,New York,Oregon ect, ect. That is naive, and if you spent more than a month in most us states you would know that the level of racism in one state or region almost always varies…except of course in good Arizona! Its just one big missunderstanding…lol. And muslims were not traeted deifferently in NY the winter of 01′. Face it, there are drug, crime, welfare, job, quality of life problems related to mexican illegals in Az and because of these problems Arizona has an a large population of whites that are indifferent to all mexicans. Politicians always look out for self, and getting re-elected. And though they may be attracting most of the attention they wouldnt be pushing agendas that didnt have the support of thier constituants.

Before asking a person about immigration status, law enforcement officials are required by the law to have “reasonable suspicion” that a person is an illegal immigrant. The concept of “reasonable suspicion” is well established by court rulings. Since Arizona does not issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, having a valid license creates a presumption of legal status. Examples of reasonable suspicion include:
A driver stopped for a traffic violation has no license, or record of a driver’s license or other form of federal or state identification.
A police officer observes someone buying fraudulent identity documents or crossing the border illegally.
A police officer recognizes a gang member back on the street who he knows has been previously deported by the federal government. You can click my name to a link to the article by the Center for Immigration Studies.

And MichelNG I have grown up surrounded by Mexicans. My whole life, across the street, in my house, at my school, at work, everywhere. There is no issue between the vast majority of people in Arizona and Mexican people. None. There is however a great story in it if there were huh? something that will bring the media attention? the state? its utterly ridiculous that the state has a stigma of being racist because everyone believes what they read in a newspaper written by a columnist, trying to get readers in a dying industry. Have you actually read the bill and its amendments? I have read some of it, not so recently however. I have linked you with a website, please educate yourself from a non-biast, non-motivated perspective, read others, I will too, if I find out something different then how it was in February then I will concede. But I live here, and anything that effects the Mexican population will also effect my life, and my livelihood, it’s better that I understand what’s going on. Especially if I’m going to manage a business where illegal immigration is a constant issue.

Native means “born here” essentially Rignigo.

  • http://www.bulls.com Rigo Gonzalez

Here in Alaska, if you’re “born here” and you claim to be a native, the real Natives will slap you for that.
    Just saying.

I don’t agree with nbk’s interpretation of that Arizona law, but I do believe him when he says the vast majority of people living in Arizona are not racist.
Although Arizona as a state has long been suspect. How bout the whole MLK day thing?

  • SikhWitIt

Loving the discussion, this is what democracy is all about: engaging with others to critically analyze your own beliefs. Good lookin out fellas.

Good point Rigo. But that wasn’t the whole state, just most of their politicians

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

There’s no way Mississippi doesn’t contend for the title of Most Racist American State–just a hunch. I’ve never been there though, so it might be a bit presumptuous of me.

    Co-sign MichaelG… On everything.

NBK has more than once proven that social issues and politics are not areas in which he is well versed. Disregard all of his opinions on the matter. Rigo is a confused lil brown boy, but for once he is right. Allenp, closeted as he is, actually makes sense when not being a coward. LakeShow, the bandwagoner prototype, needs to be ignored for life. I am pure scum of the Earth, but none of that matters. All that matters is that I’ve finally gotten Eboy’s mom off her kneecaps long enough to go gargle. :-D

That was not an interpretation from me. That was a quote from the Center for Immigration Studies. I linked my name to the website. How many of you have actually read even a little bit of the actual law that you have such strong opinions about? And we have never taken off work for MLK Day here, and it has never been an issue. Honestly I have seen racism plenty in my life, I have lived in all types of neighborhoods and hung out with all types of people. but never have I been under the impression, or met anyone who has lived here that is under the impression that the people are generally or more then sparingly racist. However I am sure that there may be a higher number of what would be deemed racist voters here, seeing as how we have such a large population of elderly citizens, and likely there is a larger % of them that have older views (racist). But the huge majority of them are not from Arizona at all, they have been here since retirement, so most no longer then 20 years, and they live in a semi-secluded part of the city where only retirees are allowed to live. Its called Sun-City, full of golf courses, and even more golf carts. But that doesn’t make up the anywhere near the majority of the population, even if every single one of them were racist.

In addition to Arizona’s legislation on immigration, this is the very same state that is eliminating “ethnic studies” because the whites feel it encourages animosity towards them. Children in Arizona schools are only going to be taught the pretty little neat version of the history of this country because lawmakers feel like being honest in public education will present too much truth to children about the people slaughtered for this land, the slaves forced to build up the nation that hated them, and the war-mongering of the so-called founding fathers. But this NBGhey loser is going to try to convince us that Arizona is no different than any other state in this country. And Earth to Rigo!!! You bring up the MLK holiday issue right after you praise the one senator who voted against it. See what I mean about him being confused? McCain’s his hero, but clearly he recognizes his racism. Confused!

You’re 24 years young kiddo. Go learn something and get out of that stupid state of yours before you get some hick pregnant and are forced to stay and help raise another ignorant brat. Your state, Mississipi, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, North and South Dakota, and Florida hold the largest percentages of backward idiots in the U.S. I really wish they all just fall off the face of the Earth (along with heeb nazi Israel)
