Jimmer Fredette Launches Video Series

Fans now can “Follow Jimmer” as the 2011 NCAA Player of the Year prepares for the NBA Draft this month. Via Deseret News: “Former BYU guard Jimmer Fredette had a hard enough time getting around campus in Provo without being followed by adoring fans. Now that he’s preparing for the NBA Draft, he’s got a camera crew to do the following for him. Tupelo-Honey Productions has just launched a new YouTube channel called ‘Follow Jimmer,’ featuring the scoring sensation as he travels to audition for NBA teams, trains with Cougar teammates in Provo, and socializes with friends and family. The YouTube channel contains two videos, uploaded Wednesday afternoon, with more to be added as the draft nears.”

    I want to like him.

Rookie most likely to….fade into obscurity (unless the Jazz draft him)

    How tall is he?

  • @Deknowz

I wonder if the Jazz have his locker and parking spot ready?

    The next JJ Reddick!!!

  • mdshuai33

To be fair: he’s quicker and has better ball handles than Reddick. I really hope someone other than Utah drafts him though. I think he’d be a perfect piece for an actual team in contention that needs some outside shooting, cause he sure as hell will give you that.

Jimmer is the real deal. Very soon………..he will make everyone a believer! Just look him up. He is tearing up NBA workouts and tested very high at the Combine. Keep doubting him, he will use it as fuel as he did all year, you saw where that got him, unanimous POY!. A future NBA All Star and will go down as one of the NBA’s great PG’s!

  • ogog

He is wayyy better than reddick!…He reminds me a bit of Austin Rivers.

  • dontforget

@ogog: you gota remember where the 2 played. jimmer played at a mid major. what other shooter has ever had an elite school revolve their offense around one player the way duke did with JJ. Jimmer might be quicker but his grips are overated…JJ>>>>Jimmer

  • Sillybilly

don’t build him up 2 much al :-) dang !

    @ogog

How could Jimmer “remind you of Austin Rivers”?

Austin Rivers is irrelevant until he hits college.

    @ Alan
I hope you know Kemba should have taken that award..
And I hope your are sarcastic about the ‘one of the greatest pg’s’

  • AQWORD

Youtubed him, boy carries alot but he does have a J. How tall is he ?

  • AD

all he has to di is work hard…… but right now hes like a nate robinson ben gordon type player….. but if he works… he can be a good pg

  • toinefan88

I think he has All-Star potential. He’s a different breed, very hard worker, very humble. I’ll be rooting for him. Would love to see him in the Celtic green.

Jimmer is 6-2. His future is as an above-average back-up scoring point-guard. JJ Reddick is a better shooter. Jimmer is a better scorer. His ability to come off the bench and hit shots could be useful to any NBA team.

  • Youngindy21

He would be a good backup PG for the Indiana Pacers. I say backup because he isn’t faster or better than Collison at least not yet. I think he’ll be pretty good in the NBA wherever he goes. A lot of you people doubted Tyler Hansbrough and look how he turned out in the NBA. Don’t do the same with Fredette.

I want to see this guy prove all of the doubters wrong.
