Leandro Barbosa Exercises Option, Stays in Toronto

Toronto guard Leandro Barbosa isn’t going anywhere just yet. Via USA Today: “Raptors guard Leandro Barbosa has exercised his contract option to return to Toronto next season. The team announced the move Saturday. The 6-foot-3 Brazilian averaged 13.3 points, 2.1 assists and 24.1 minutes in 58 games last season, his first in Toronto. Barbosa made $7.1 million last season and was second on the team in three-point shooting. The 28-year-old is in his eighth year in the NBA. He won the Sixth Man of the Year award after playing the 2006-07 season for the Phoenix Suns.”

    The blur.

The team is so young, it’s good that a couple of veterans are staying with the team.

Yea, you can never have too many overpaid past-their-prime duds on a team with no stars and no future

  • Vince5

I disagree about the future part, but the only thing we can do is wait and see.

why does everyone think the blur is so bad? what i seen of him in T-Dot last year makes me think he aint lost a step, he just needs the minutes. this dude aint no bum. can someone please explain to me how this guy is such a bum? every time i ask this question people just stay silent.

Toronto does alot of thing to a bball player.

TO could do wonders if we had a rebounding C and we just moved Andrea to SF. And of course a decent draft pick.

Jerryd is better than Kemba and Knight. James Johnson and K.Leonard are eerily similar. Andrea is too slow to play SF. Trading Bargnani for a decent SF would do wonders for the raps.
