Report: Lakers, Timberwolves Discussed Lamar Odom Trade

If it seems like Minnesota is involved in virtually every trade rumor this summer, well, that’s because they are. The latest has Lamar Odom’s name attached to it. From the LA Times: “The Lakers tried to move up in Thursday’s NBA draft by offering forward Lamar Odom to Minnesota for the Timberwolves’ No. 2 overall pick, but Minnesota turned them down, according to two NBA officials who were not authorized to speak publicly about the trade talks. The Lakers wanted to use the No. 2 pick to select Arizona’s forward Derrick Williams, the officials said. However, Minnesota didn’t want Odom, the NBA’s sixth man of the year last season, because the Timberwolves have Kevin Love at power forward and see him as part of the franchise’s cornerstone.”

Not worth a top 5 pick i feel . . . . . even in a draft that is kind of light on talent

I saw him playing in January. 12 points and 3 monster blocks in 16 min. I had never heard of him before and he really impressed me. I think he has a great chance to become really good, and he’s still very young.

this is dog crap. LO is 100 times better than derric williams! If you are going to trade LO save it for somebody good like Dwight Howard. Or better yet don’t trade the sixth man of the year at all! Just dog crap I tell you!

The Lakers will have no chance with out ODOM he`s 6″10 & can post, handel, shoot, rebound, steal, & block Kobe need that beside him. U should Gasol,Blake,Ebanks,Walton,& Caracter to Minnesota for K.Love and Webster. Plus Lakers should sign Aaron Brooks,JR Smith & T-MAC.
