Spurs Offer George Hill For Lottery Pick

There’s not much more than a tweet right now, but word is that the San Antonio Spurs are shopping their other point guard, George Hill, in attempt to crash the lottery. At this time of year anything is possible, but rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. From Draft Express:

Wow. Worst draft ever according to experts and Spurs are trying their best to crack in lottery. If any team can turn nothing into something it’s the Spurs. I want to dislike the Spurs but Its more fun when they are good. So, I hope some teams do them a favor and do that deal. I want to see some young big mentored by Tim Duncan. Very exciting to see. Then get their asses beat!!!

Spurs + Lottery Pick = Diamonds in the rough for the pickin

I don’t believe this. Gregg Poppovich is enamored with George Hill, to the point where I heard he actually prefers him to Tony Parker…(defensive & shooting ability being the main reasons).

yh i really hope the spurs dont do this cos hill will almost certainly be the better player out of whoever they draft

Bobcats should get him for #9 and trade DJ to whatever the highest bidder would give. Our 19th pick + Hill would probably help more then 2 rookies. Rick Cho will make it happen.

George Hill is a solid point guard for the Spurs. Who can they honestly pick up with the 10th, 11th, or 12th pick in this years draft that will give them equal or better production?

  • nbk Posted: Jun.22 at 6:09 pm
For the record everyone, they wouldn’t be using the pick on a guard. They would be getting a big.

    That was quick. Sorry Tony.

I thought George Hill was Pops favourite son? Man the rumours fly around here…

Man, if the Spurs can land Enes Kanter this draft, they’d be unstoppable. I have a feeling they’re trying for Valanciunas with the 10th or 11th pick, should they get it. George Hill would be fantastic in a starting role for another team.
