Darius Songaila Signs with Turkish Team

Songaila saw the opportunity to play in Turkey and took it. After getting burn in only 10 games this season with the Sixers, we really can’t blame him. From Yahoo!: “Sixers FA Darius Songalia signs $1.5 mill, 1yr deal with Turkey Galatasaray, agent Mark Bartelstien said. Wouldve stayed in NBA w/o lockout.”

Has anyone else read too that a few of these guys that are signing contracts for euro teams; these contracts have ‘NO OPT-OUT’ clauses in them?? They may very well not be able to come back and play in the NBA as soon as the like if they are over there for a few years then….? Interesting.
