Detroit Pistons Hire Lawrence Frank as Head Coach

Since last week, everyone knew the deal between Lawrence Frank and the Detroit Pistons was basically in place, but now it’s more-or-less official that he’s the team’s new head coach. Per the Free Press: “The Detroit Pistons have reached an agreement with Lawrrence Frank to be their new head coach, a person familiar with the deal told the Free Press. He’ll receive a three-year contract with a team option for a fourth year. Frank is expected to be introduced by the team next week.”

Great choice. I think he was the best coach available for them. He’s a defensive minded players coach with a good mix of youth and experience. I hope this is the first of many steps to turn the franchise around.

good now besides bynum, a. daye and manroe everybody else should be shipped. that’s a good core to star rebuilding. can’t wait to see unknown markets teams like the pistons and raptors in 3 to 4 years.

Bynum is pretty good backup, no more no less…Hopefully Brandon Knight pans out.

Lawrence Frank is not what Detroit needs, they need a strong will Head Coach. Lawrence Frank had his shot with the Nets. I think Bill Laimbeer was the best choice. BOOK IT!!!
