Dwight Howard Would ‘Never’ Join the Miami Heat


While attending Comic-Con in San Diego to promote a new animated series he’s starring in, Dwight was asked about the possibility of joining LeBron and ‘em. Howard isn’t a fan of the idea, at all. From ESPN: “They want to know if he’ll leave the Magic when he becomes a free agent in July 2012 — and whether he’d look good in a Heat, Lakers or Rockets jersey. He said he’s been asked ‘a million times’ about his future since the end of the season. But for now, Howard is having fun off the court — including doing the show and exploring other entertainment opportunities — and looking forward to a busy summer of travel, camps and enjoying life … What about the Lakers? ‘That’s everybody’s question,’ he told the ‘Kick’ audience. ‘I am wearing purple … but that’s Rock’s outfit.’ The Heat? ‘Never.’ Stay with the Magic or leave for free agency? ‘At this point, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I’m just enjoying life and taking advantage of being young and being able to travel and do the things that I’ve always wanted to do.’ Will he consider playing overseas if the NBA lockout drags on? ‘Yeah, I don’t want to just sit around and do nothing. That’s just a waste. There’s no telling when the NBA season’s going to start, so if I’m just sitting at home and one day it decides to pop back up and I’m not ready, I’m going to look bad.’”

    Barkley’s height is a myth. You can google a mug shot that lists him at 6’7. He’s also a bit taller than MJ when they’re side-by-side.

    Barkley is 6’4.75″ according to just about everything that lists his real height. His pre-draft height was listed at 6’5″ but that can be due to rounding up. Someone should youtube his draft and see if they say his actual height via commentary, not listed during the draft because that is with shoes.

    Nbk: like all players’ listed height! Why do we care about how tall chuck is barefoot when all the players list their heighht with shoes? Chuck entertains that myth because it makes his accomplishments seem even more incredible.

    Bringing up that mug shot of Barkley is just a bad argument. How far is he from the chart, what kind of shoes is he wearing. He has said several times that he’s 6’4 3/4. According to the pre-draft measurements Barkley is just under 6’8 without shoes so there’s no need to speculate. More accurate heights at http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/

    Wow. There are some interesting info on that chart. Jordan Farmar has a 42 inch vert and OJ Mayo has a 41 inch vert. Not sure why this doesn’t translate in actual game situations. Shaq had a 36 inch vert (higher than Dwight) and has the highest max reach ever according to the table at 12’5. Bonkers. Also, DeSagana Diop has a 25 inch vert lol.

    All they need is a 3rd team for it to work cuz 4 would be to complicated already.The most qualified and can be for any trade actuall is the LA clippers which loaded of fresh talent from ALL postions. All they have to do is give up Kaman which is logical to give thier youg guys more room (playing time) to improve like deandre. Only trick is to convince em to take the vets from Celts which can actually guide their young guys for a year even if they release them after. they dont have to give up a lot of thier good young ones. Orlando meantime would just be thankful they’re able to take atlerst some talent than just go zilch with FA.

Dwight howard is better off coming to the Sacramento Kings. laker won’t be able to keep up with the young kings this year we got Tyreke Evans , J.J Hickson , Demarcus Cousins , Jimmer Fredette ,thorton , and so on. Lakers trying to pull a miracle trade with Orlando like kwame brown trade. lakers will offer you blown knee caps , old players because they need to get younger. Howard is better off with the Kings. he would look good in black in purple! Sactown Baby!
