Polladaday: Ricky Rubio?

As much speculation as there’s been, nobody really knows just how good Ricky Rubio will be. What do you think?

How good will Ricky Rubio be in the NBA?

    14 PPG
    9 AST
    4 REB
    1.5 STL
    42% FG
    37% 3PT

    At Peak.

37% 3pt? I’d disagree on that one. But his peak will look more like 16-12-6-2, I think. Rookie year, I expect like 10-9-4-2.

  • Carlosv13

    I say at peak 16.4 9.7 and 4.8 and 1.8 steal

  • Bimmer

Hold up, why is he getting so many boards in your predictions?

  • http://hoopistani.blogspot.com hoopistani

I agree with Carlosv13′s predictions most – but his influence will be a lot more than the numbers. I see him getting Rondo-esque numbers

    I think he’ll be like a two-four time all-star.

. it will take the right pick and roll fast break offense to get 10 apg. i dont think he will be able to get in the lane and dish people against nba pgs. that is the best position in the game. i mean jose calderon gets 8-9 a game but defenses actually respect his jumper. he wont be as good as rondo becuase he just doesnt have the physical tools to do so i say he can be like jason kidd on the nets, which isnt bad at all, once he gets a jumper

  • RunNGun

    Agreed w/Hoopistani… Rondo-esque numbers.

  • Bimmer

He’s gonna get maybe 2 rebounds a game tho. Kidd and Rondo are really good rebounders. So maybe points and assists may be close but not rebounds.

Bimmer: He’s actually an exceptional rebounder. He collected crazy boards in some games overseas.

  • Bimmer

O really? See I didn’t actually look at his stats from overseas because they rarely translate to the NBA but if you look at Westbrook he averaged what 4.8 rebounds last year? With Rubio’s build and athleticism, I don’t see him getting close to that. Obviously, this is all speculation.

Yeah, I remember in the national team, he had 51 points, 24 boards, 12 assists, and 7 steals in the championship game. He has fundamentals, which KLove and Z-Bo have proven trumps athleticism when it comes to rebounding.

  • Bimmer

Dang, well I agree on that last part. Just going to have to wait and see.

Agreed man, I wish him the best of luck. For all the legal troubles and whatnot, he seems like a nice kid.
