Tyrus Thomas Working on His Mental Game

Thomas has spent the summer rehabbing, getting married, and trying to improve between the ears. From the Charlotte Observer: “Q. What have you been doing since the season ended? ‘I’ve been continuing a little rehab on my knee and now I’m back working out. I’ve been really working on my mental approach to the game. I’ve done that by watching film, studying myself, and being more analytical, rather than spontaneous, in my everyday life. I must say though, the highlight of my summer has been my wedding!”

Tyrus has developed a nice consistent mid-range jumpshot since he has came to Charlotte. He mightve had it in Chicago, I didnt watch much Bulls basketball. But if he calms down his approach and continues to build on that it would assure he will stay in the league. After his knee injury idk how much explosiveness he is going to have this year.

So glad dude left my Bulls. Had all the talent in the world but never wanted to work hard at it.
His mid-range jumper was sketchy. Oftentimes, you could hear a collective groan from the United Center crowd whenever he launched one from outside the pain, similar to Josh Smith in last year’s playoffs.
And yet I’d still rather have him over Boozer…least he was good for a few blocks and highlight dunks.

Like boozer he was injury prone though to be fair

    dude was already mental…

Sounding like he starting 2 mature. He has the talent no doubt. Just has 2 be consistent. It would be nice if he has a successful upcoming season and who knows? Chicago just might try and get him back again. That’s just wishful thinking on my part probably.
