John Wall Plans to Enter the NBA Dunk Contest


At a promotional event for his new sneaker, John Wall tells I am a GM that he has plans on entering the League’s Dunk Contest very soon: “Question: I’ve seen in a lot of the pickup and charity games such as Chris Paul’s that you’ve put up some crazy dunks. Have you considered entering the dunk contest?’ John Wall: ‘Yeah I’m thinking about it, maybe this year or next year I’ll probably enter the dunk contest.”

    although i dont really want him in next/ next-next year Blake Griff needs to be in next year to defend his title, followed by JWall, deMar, and josh selby… i would say westbrooke > selby but westbrooke is more of a power dunker which i can respect..

    DeRozan should have won two years in a row. But Wall can get up and Iman Shumpert is insane. The three of them against Blake Griffin? That would be tight.

    Honestly, there’s only so much you can do with dunking, you can change the participants. I wanna see Guy Dupay, Kenny Dobbs, and Kadour Ziani go against NBA players for cred. Vince Carter destroyed the dunk contest anyway. So it’s over really.

    Get off that dude Derozan’s sack. Paul George would slaughter him in a Dunk Contest. It wouldn’t even be a contest. I think a dunk contest w/ Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon, Paul George, and Lebron James would be epic.
