Andrei Kirilenko Looking to Return to the NBA

AK-47′s dominant (yet painful) EuroTrip is reportedly about to come to an end, as the forward looks to ink a multi-year deal with an NBA squad. From Sportando: “Andrei Kirilenko, now that a new CBA is reached in NBA and the lockout is over, will return to US, according to sources close to the situation. The Russian forward, who signed a multi-year deal with CSKA Moscow, wants to pen a multi-year deal in NBA where he has played for 10 years with Utah Jazz. New Jersey Nets and Utah Jazz are the teams interested in him while Kirilenko would love to live in Los Angeles and sign with Lakers or Clippers. Kirilenko will play with CSKA Moscow until he signs a deal in the NBA.”

Wouldn’t mind seeing him on the Lakers. He’s nowhere near the contributor he used to be but he could be handy

the lakers don’t have minutes for him. The Clippers do and he’s so versital in 30 minutes he can be very effective with em

Naw, Lakers got minutes for him for sure. Grab him brass. Quality defender and capable offensive option sounds good to me.

    Andrei’s a poor man’s Matt Barnes… IMO anyway…

I would love for him to start over Ryan Gomes. I love Gomes’ effort on defense (he really fights through screens and tries hard) but he just isn’t athletic enough to guard some of the more athletic small forwards. Kirilenko is long, an excellent defender, and is someone who has a lot to contribute to the young Clippers.
