NBA Season to Debut With Five Games on Christmas

After going months without any NBA hoops, fans will get to gorge on plenty of it come December 25th. From the NY Times: “The N.B.A. will start its lockout-delayed season with five games on Christmas Day, said a person with knowledge of the schedule who was not authorized to discuss it publicly. The first game will be on TNT, followed by two on ABC and two on ESPN. The league will announce the details of the five-game opening day on Friday. The first game will begin at noon Eastern, followed by tip-offs at 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. When it was to be a tripleheader, the lineup was Boston-Knicks, Miami-Dallas and Los Angeles Lakers-Chicago.”

    Go Bulls!!

The NBA starting on Christmas is going to be so special.

  • Sean B

They should probably start the season every year on Christmas.

    i agree Sean B

  • LA Huey

Sean B, the season kinda does but I’d rather see them start in early November/late October and see sharp games on Xmas.

i cant wait 2 see lebrons face when the mavs get presented their rings

  • O

I hope the 10:30 game is dope and not a pair of scrubs like Kings vs. Warriors. I hope they change the Bulls game and have the Thunder visit the Lakers for the final of the 5-header. That would be gangsta!

  • robb

Change the Bulls game? nah, Lakers vs Bulls is nice. If they added OKC vs. Grizzlies that would be awesome

OKC vs Memphis and Orlando vs Atlanta if I had to guess.

  • misso

Hopefully they added the MAGIC so I can go to a game on Christmas day

Maybe they’ll put the Timberwolves on the Christmas day slate. Gotta show some small market (Kevin) Love with Rudolph the Red-nosed Rubio making his debut.

    Lucky they start games early.
Then i can some of the games live here in europe.

  • Byebye

Yeah show one of the small market teams so they can get some shine cuz the lockout u kno was about the small markets being able to compete yeah rite the bobcats got a chance of getting on tv as Jordan is to suiting up again
Also if they never have the weaker teams on tv how can they get some tv revenue

    LA Huey is right.
I much rather see the Kings/Warriors than OKC/Memphis or ORL/ATL. I want to see the improvements Curry and Reke made to their games.

they should keep the games close (travel distance wise):
    Celtic-Cavs or Celtics-Bulls or Bulls-Celtics

They need to put Cavs-T’Wolves on Xmas

Wouldn’t be shocked to see the Kings because of JIMMER.
