Report: Tyreke Evans Signs With Italy’s Virtus Roma

Tyreke Evans is the latest NBA player to agree to take his talents across the pond during the lockout. Virtus Roma has themselves a new point guard. Per Sportando: ”Virtus Roma agreed to terms with Tyreke Evans for the season 2011-12 with an NBA out to exercise by the player when lockout ends. The contract, as announced by Acea Roma, will be signed in the night.”

Dont see the point of a opt out anymore because the season is going to be rushed (If there is one) I would just stay in europe .

GC6 – once (if) the season starts they need out clauses becuase of contractual obligations.

This is good for Reke, he can get used to his jumper in game situations before the NBA kicks up again.

MAN, i have no clue which league to visit when i head to Europe in a bit. So many goooood opportunities to see good ball now. Obviously Turkey with it’s mass of Nba players would be interesting, but it’s a bit far from Zurich.
Sadly the german clubs (so far) haven’t been able to entice any stars to the BBL, so that’s out. Best bet now seems to be Italy. Milano would be a nice weekend trip preferably if they have an EL game ,or a clash against Siena. Or France, to see Batum or TP dominate? Wow.
    Ooooh, the possibilities…..

Dark, siena and milano just met 2 weeks ago. hell of a game, it looks like this year the serie a champion really won’t be a foregone conclusion

    Tentatively, omphalos. :)
To be frank, couldn’t be any happier they agreed on a deal.
Euroball is great, Nba has more entertainment value.
