Carlos Arroyo, who played for the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics last season, has signed with Turkish club Besiktas Milangaz. Via Sportando: “Besiktas agreed to terms with Carlos Arroyo. The Puerto Rican PG was free agent and is expected to join his new team from December 27th. Milangaz, the sponsor of Besiktas, approved his contract and gave the OK to finalize the deal.”

…and he should have started for Miami. Miami would have done far better than they did last season if they had him in the starting roster. If you have any doubt about the quality of Arroyo’s game, watch how he put the US “Dream Team” to shame in the Puerto Rico vs. US Olympic Game in Athens.

All of you shut up… Carlos Arroyo has been the best PG in the Euroleague this year winning already 2 tournaments and is going to the final now for the Turkey Championship Cup. He proved everyone wrong and he needs to be in the NBA on a team that lets him play his game.
