Deron Williams: 90% Chance He Re-Signs With the Nets

When DWill turned down the extension from his current team last week, anyone who cares about the Nets becames a little nervous, and led to quite a bit of speculation about his future (though it made all the sense in the world for Williams to hold out for a bigger payday next summer.) Deron, though, says that he’s likely to re-up with the squad once it moves to Brooklyn. From Nets Daily: “In an interview that could barely have been scripted any better by the Nets organization, Deron Williams told WFAN that he intends to stay with the Nets and that chances of his staying are 90%. ‘My plan is to stay. Hopefully we can get some good talent to where I can stay.’ WIlliams told Evan Roberts. Asked what the percentage is of him stay,’ he responded, ’90 percent.’ Williams also called the Nets organization ‘perfectly run from top to bottom,’ adding that he ‘loved’ Billy King and Avery Johnson and has found Mikhail Prokhorov ‘very passionate’ as an owner.”
