Jeff Green Could Miss Significant Time

The rumor is that Jeff Green’s undisclosed health issue involves a heart condition, but details have yet to be made public. From CSNNE.com: “A source close to Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green says the 6-foot-8 forward is expected to miss some games early on this season due to an undisclosed health condition that became apparent during his most recent physical. Green, accompanied by president of basketball operations Danny Ainge, were at an undisclosed location on Friday seeking a second opinion. Head coach Doc Rivers had expressed optimism earlier in the day that the results from that second opinion would be back in time for him to discuss Green’s status following Friday night’s intra-squad scrimmage at the TD Garden.”

Best wishes Jeff as this news puts basketball and my love for the C’s in perspective. I don’t wanna hear anything about how this reflects on the Perk trade also. That was applicable last year, but not now. We all know had he not been traded, Perk would’ve been overpaid by some contender this offseason for than the C’s could match…

contract voided? didn’t the lakers pay for turiafs heart surgery or something like that in his rookie year? U might not want to tell a person that is about to have heart surgery that we r not going to give u the 9 mil we said we were going to give u. from a business standpoint i understand. hang in the Jeff

As I’m always looking on the bright side, maybe he’ll get cleared and he’ll feel slighted by the C’s and sign with NY on the cheap.
