Lamar Odom Didn’t Show Up for Lakers’ Training Camp

Odom was not thrilled that the Lakers tried (and failed) to ship him out of town last night, and he didn’t show up to the first day of training camp today. From the LA Times: “Pau Gasol is at training camp, Lamar Odom is not. Also, Lakers do not plan to take legal action against the league.”

Like I said in the other topic, SUICIDE WATCH!

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

They might wanna check on dude’s whereabouts cause LAPD just shot and killed a man who was going around shooting cars.

  • http://slamonline.com LakeShow

I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t be that dude personally, but it doesn’t feel good to not be wanted. I would rather have him not show than show and not be there mentally.(cough Gasol cough)

That’s what those Kardashian tramps will do to a guy. Make’s em Charmin soft and all sensitive. C’mon Lamar, just show up and when no one is looking, find one of Jerry Buss’s shoes and take a crap in it.

  • Hybrant

Chill that talk RunNGun, suicide ain’t something to joke about. Either way, I hope Lamar can pick himself up after this. This league’s a business homie, you gotta know that. The morals of the marketplace don’t regard what you did last year or before that: it’s about what can you do for me now?

    ^^^ bruh dat been gone

  • Red

Hybrant u act like you’re a player in the NBA don’t act like you would even remotely understand how he feels, stop acting like you know dude.

i think its safe to say two things: 1. odom is gona be on another team this year for sure, and 2. a year wasted for lakers and their hopes to win a championship for 2012.

  • bdog

feel bad for LO. he gave a lot to this team…dont blame him..hopeefully brown or kb reaches out after prac…interesting to see how all handle the media on this! this could kill the season!

  • LA Huey

Sucks for LO but I’m not feeling bad for him. It’s not like he took less money to stay with the Lakers. And as far as Pau, maybe if you showed up in 2011 playoffs…

  • http://cnbc.com JTaylor21

There’s nothing wrong with his decision and if he wants to stick it to the Lakers for their betrayal (there wasn’t even a call from the Lakers to inform him about the trade), good for him.

  • Yesse

Well obviously the nba players are nuttin more then some dancing monkies in David Stern s insane power driven megalomaniac world!! Thus he sits there axing their desire to go somewhere where they can win while singing “3 little monkies sitting in a cage” This is what u get when u allow people that killed christ to run things!!

  • chingy

    Kobe must be fuming atm.

  • http://theurbangriot.com The NUPE

I understand Odom being upset, but he still needs to show up for work. Regardless what happened (or didn’t happen), he’s suppose to be responsible and I won’t blame the Lakers if they fine him.

  • javy

There is a lot of wrong in this picture. Odom gets paid millions and won’t show up to work because he’ll get transfer to another company where
he’ll continue to earn millions…..O yes he’s humble all right!!! Mr. Kardashian!

  • JEr dawg

It’s just a sick day. He shouldn’t have showed up today. Why did he roll in for 15mins and leave. Gather your senses and come back later. I don’t blame him.

  • Chukaz

We’ll be alright. I trust kobe’s leadership. He’ll get on someone’s face soon enough and we’ll win the title. LO should feel flattered that he’s got trade value. I’ve been a laker fan for a minute and i know this dude can be frustrating

  • Red

LOL Lakers ain’t winning another title under Kobe again unless you get Howard.

  • http://www.slamonline.com house

I wonder how much input Kobe had on instigating this trade, if any?

  • Jamaal87

    Eboy, you’re such a tool.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Lakers: Why didn’t you show up for practice?
    Odom: Basketball reasons… U Pudding
