Pacers Trade Brandon Rush to Warriors for Lou Amundson

After missing out on the Chris Paul sweepstakes, the Warriors have apparently settled for a less-heralded vet to add backcourt depth, acquiring Brandon Rush from the Pacers. SI.com‘s Sam Amick has the details: ”The Indiana Pacers have agreed to send shooting guard Brandon Rush to Golden State in exchange for forward Lou Amundson, sources confirmed to SI.com. The trade, which is expected to be finalized on Monday and was first reported by the Bay Area News Group, would give the Warriors some badly-needed veteran depth behind guards Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry while giving the Pacers the kind of hardworking forward they were looking for. The Pacers recently signed two-time All-Star David West as well as second-year bruiser Jeff Pendergraph to play with incumbent forward Tyler Hansbrough. But Pendergraph—who was drafted 31st overall by Sacramento in 2009 but missed all of last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee—recently sprained the same knee and is still on the mend.”

Pacers don’t need a power forward, and Brandon is pretty nice. doesn’t make sense to me from a pacers point of view

B rush is a very nice player, dumb move by pacers.

Actually smart move by the Pacers as they have a log jam at the guard positions and the post player are injury prone ex. Hansborough pendergraph and West. Rush has worn out his welcome in Indy as well

How is he a very nice player? It’s not like they traded Danny Granger… They basically lost nothing

interesting move from the warriors point of view. thought they were really high on the rook klay thompson. i like rush but hope he doesn’t cut into klay’s playing time.

Lou is a hard worker, defensively he’s a guy who gives you all he’s got night after night, without mcbob you need that kind if player
