Paul Pierce Doubtful for Season Opener?

Paul Pierce’s injured right heel may keep him on the sidelines for the Boston Celtics’ season opener. From the Boston Herald: “Paul Pierce had hoped to participate in practice [Tuesday] and play in [Wednesday] night’s preseason game against the Raptors. But now there are doubts as to whether he’ll be able to go against the Knicks on Christmas Day. Pierce’s bruised right heel acted up following a workout [Monday]. He won’t play [Wednesday] night, and he’s not expected to practice until Friday. ‘He felt good,’ Doc Rivers said. ‘We told him to go out and work. He did some one-on-one work with some of the guys, and his foot was extremely sore (yesterday). Hell, that’s just the way it rolls right now.'”
