Don’t retire! He needs to go to the Suns! No! No! No!

Even yesterday here in Portland the media said Brandon was feeling good, his knees were doing great. No swelling over the off-season. He has been working out and he was happy with the results. Roy was at the practice facility yesterday. Now this? What? I’m confused. He’s still got some left in the tank. Dude has mad heart.

he chose to retire because he doesn’t want to be a role player. he could have still played with shot knees – pain wasn’t an issue, it’s just that he was not athletic anymore. i can respect that but on the other hand, he b-tched A LOT in the last year for someone that couldn’t bring it on the reg.

Nasty. A true pro, and one of the actual respectable guys in the league. Feel for the Blazers, they were the Thunder of a couple of years back.

So sad man, he will always be remembered especially that comeback game against Dallas in last years playoffs. But doesn’t Kobe have that same condition??? Its about to be an interesting yr

damn man, i used to kill it with Roy in 2k11 he was beast in that game and real life, best of luck to him

Paul Allen don’t jumped of that ledge yet. You’ll be back in the lottery in no time.

@RunNGun That’s where you’re wrong man. The Trail Blazers clearly won the Roy/ Foye trade and there isn’t even an argument. We were the JAIL BLAZERS before this man came into our team and stepped up as a leader immediately. Brandon Roy changed the culture of the Trail Blazers from a struggling organization into a perennial playoff team. Brandon will always be my favorite player. Fellow parents, this is the type of athlete that you can be proud of as a role model for your children. He’s not just an amazing talent, but humble, passionate, stays out of the spotlight, and puts his heart on the court. Here’s hoping to a successful comeback down the line, Brandon, because you don’t deserve this.

Man… I hope he’ll make a come back somewhere down the line. It was a real joy watching him play. Best of luck in retirement, Brandon. One of the greatest Blazers to ever play the game–and would have been a sure-fire Hall of Famer. Thanks for the memories.

Dont retire B-Roy. Its not time

Don’t worry people, Stern won’t allow this to happen. He’ll veto his retirement. Stern will be damned if he’s gonna let players decide when, where AND why they’re gonna retire. If CP3 got shot in the streets of LA, stern personally would take Paul’s corpse, clad in an Adidas Hornets uniform, back to NO and force them to put Chris Paul in the starting line up. He’d then stop the game to fine CP3 for staining the arena floors with his blood. Then he’d give D12 a technical because f*ck you that’s why

Portland won’t be the same without Roy….at least our last memory of him is that killer comeback against the Mavs (ranked like 8th best comeback in NBA history). I hope Blazers can go all the way this year in honor of Brandon
