Kid finally wants some more minutes. Good move.

why would the Lakers let this guy go, especially after all his improvement yesterday and take on instead, Jason Kapono. They’d better get rid of Fisher and Walton too.

  • Kadavour

all of his improvement LAST YEAR*** LOL – wish i could blame auto-correct for that

Lakers need to get rid of Luke Walton, Derek Fisher, and Metta World Peace also J. Smith. and Theo Ratliffe oh yeah and Matt Barnes.

    Feels like yesterday

‘Nash to Brown for the alley oop’

  • bdog

i want to keep brown ..kapono is a waste….why did we ever trade ariza….smh!!!!

  • bigmike100

noooooooooo… shannon is da best person 4 da backup 2guard spot nd he was shreddin last yr… dis was pose 2 b his yr 2 win sixth man

  • Heals

@Speedy, yup yup. LALA fans trust me ya’ll are better off without him. He was too inconsistent for ya’ll, yeah he showed flashes, but when you needed something (a defensive match-up, spread the court, etc.) he often looked out of place. Your team can’t afford to waste roster spots and cap space on in-between type players, they need guys with more reliable/defined skill-sets…

What Lakers team were you guys watching? Brown sucked….again last year. Kapono is much more needed than Brown. Use your brain sometimes it feels good.

People who think the Lakers should have kept Brown don’t know basketball or don’t watch the games. Brown has been in the league long enough to develop into a useful cog on a championship team and he’s yet to become that. At least it’ll be fun catching highlights of Nash-Brown alley-oops this season.

2k12 knows something we dont. My player mode shannon brown is always on the suns lol

  • The Truth

So who’s going to bring ‘Show Time’ back without Shannon amazing dunks? Watching a Lakers game with lay up highlights will be very boring! Does that mean Dwight is coming to town next season???

  • http://slamonline.com YKnoT

letshannondunk.com just don’t let him shoot! Lakers are better off without him, and that’s why he only gets a 1yr deal from the Suns!

  • Goode

The Lakers didn’t let him go, they don’t have the money or court time to be able to keep a young guy like him who wants both of those things and will likely get both in Pheonix. It’s not like LA said “Ok, young man, we’ll see you later”, they couldn’t keep him.

  • 1vey2ink

Uhh lakers don’t have the money?? I thought they had that new deal with Time Warner for 150 miljion a year, how can that not be enough to keep shannon? 3,5 mil what Suns offer this season is only 1 mil more than he was making with Lakers, so i don’t see why Lakers would not match that offer to stay in LA

    sad story……

this is going to be phenomenal…. Shannon Brown will pretty much get the 6th man of the year award… or MIP…. he could start even and will be better than Leandro Barbosa was at that twiner guard position…. mean while… free agent aaron brooks is stuck in china…. this is awesome…. if the suns get rid of him, and michael peach-truss… and wince carter… and manage to get hold of a few defensive types with a back bone and sharp elbows…look out WCF!!

  • Jam.C

Dacre i dont think so lol. Apparently you didnt watch Brown play.
