Rodney Stuckey ‘Balks’ at Pistons Contract Offer

Rodney Stuckey is not happy with the Pistons’ latest contract offer. The restricted free agent might soon seek a way out of Detroit, or set himself up for unrestricted free agency next summer. According to ESPN’s Chad Ford: “The Detroit Pistons and restricted free agent Rodney Stuckey are struggling to come to terms on a long-term contract, sources said. Stuckey, the Pistons’ top free agent this offseason, is balking at what the Pistons are prepared to pay him. The Pistons have discussed a deal that would pay Stuckey between $40 million and $45 million over five years, according to sources. By comparison, Mike Conley agreed to a five-year, $40 million extension with the Memphis Grizzlies in November.”

Another idiot player vastly overvaluing himself. What a shocker. This guy should get nothing more than $4-$5.5M per year and even that’s a stretch

I’m a big Pistons fan and it’s been fuct up the last couple of years. Rodney Stuckey has been a big reason why. The dudes got huge holes in his game (playmaking, shooting) and his attitude is crap too. What makes this even worse is we’ve got that mfer Ben Gordon on the roster collecting big checks and he’s worse than Stuckey.

If it was up to me I’d dump the both of them for whatever I could get that wasn’t a long term contract. I’d rather start Will Bynum (who goes hard) and Brandon Knight than pay these two clowns.

As for the money Stuck’s straight crazy he in no way deserves as much as he’s been offered let alone more. I think he’s trying to force his way out of Detroit. I really hope Tom Gores gets Joe Dumars to stop sniffing glue and get back to making sound decisions.
