Bulls Targeting Leon Powe, Joel Przybilla?

Already boasting a deep frontcourt, the Chicago Bulls may be making a move for another reserve big man. KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports that waiving 36-year-old Mike James now opens a roster spot for either Leon Powe or Joel Przybilla: “The Chicago Bulls released reserve point guard Mike James early Saturday, dropping their roster to 13 players again. This could pave the way for the Bulls to add a reserve big man, which general manager Gar Forman has alluded to as far back as training camp. Leon Powe and Joel Przybilla are two players with whom the Bulls have had conversations to bolster a frontcourt which currently has Luol Deng out.”

bulls dnt need leon pwoe but pryzbilla is worht the shot maybe. the bulls need an athletic 2 who can also spread the floor wit his range, and no one other than JR swish. rip hamilton is a pure mid range shooter who will create alot of motion and open shots for his teamates and he can stroke it from deep but we need the slasher who is fearless and wnats to add more posters to his collection.
i think JR wud fit in perfectly in this defensive minded system, he will only improve his defense and tim thibodeau will be able to find the right spots for jr. im hoping they do tht, rlly do. leon powe is a good hustle player who can replace deng or korver as a defensive stopper. it wud be wise to consider a backup for boozer as hes injury prone and thts the last thing the bulls need. they wud be good signings but the bulls need a slasher/shooter 2 who can put it down. imagine lob from smith to drose and vice versa.

I, for one, am a ricky neal fan, if for no other reason than he gave the world “furtion”. I haven’t laughed at a post this much since Greek dude days.

also: League Pass makes for weird moments. A few nights ago I flipped from watching a Custodian corner three attempt (miss) over to a White Mamba attempted game winning three attempt (miss). It made me appreciate Stern’s scheduling of this season in a new way.

Hey ricky neal, can you post the league standings for me? I don’t know how to look them up.

  • MikeC.

@ burnt_chicken, we have a unique opportunity here. “Furtion” has been given unto the SLAM universe. We must now define it, and assign acceptable usage.

  • MikeC.

Possible definition #1 as taken from ricky neal’s usage, Furtion: a reaction based on a state of potential panic. Ex. Stan Van Gundy worked himself into a very greasy state of furtion tonight.

I was wondering how there could be so many comments on this topic…then rickyneal came along. Someone needs to tell him that comments don’t always come up right away on this site. No need to repost the same thing 5 times

  • burnt_chicken

Possible #2: V/N. a sneaky, stealthy and/or underhanded move that results in some form of gains made for the initiator. Ex. Man! I thought Gary Neal was sleeping the whole time! I didn’t even know he was furtioning my girlfriend for the last couple hours!

@justin dont know how to tell you this, dude was doin it on purpose, its not the same post but score by score update, your comment proves that common sense aint so common. And his posts prove that retards can use computers.

The very best case. Senerio for the Bulls will be to sign J.R Smith…
With Rip only a short term solution at the 2, Smith would provide the athletism, scoring, and raw talent for years to come……A Smith-Rose backcourt would be impossible to guard.

I would love for the bulls to pick up jr, they really need scoring right now and someone who is athletic and put up big numbers, either start him or make him a sixth man at least if they get him in march. Hopefully thibs can be that coach to flip his attitude and make him a lockdown defender.
