Polladaday: Kobe’s Play?

Kobe Bryant is currently average 30.3 points per game, and has dropped 40 during the last two. Think he can perform this well all year?

Can Kobe keep up his current level of play all season?

It’s been 6 years since he had a full season of this production. The logical vote is Nope.

Yea its nope and im a kobe fan. I really dont want him playin like this the whole season because he is 33 and he can get hurt. I rather he play like this in the playoffs.

  • Yesse

    I doubt it.

I mean, everyone has their bad parts in the season. I doubt he will go all out the whole season.

He’s already hurt and the rigors of this condensed schedule aren’t going to be kind to him…I’m going with nope.

I’m a Kobe fan but like I said under the MVP article the answer is NO. He’s going to get tired and burned out because imo hes expended a lot of enerygy. Imagine if this were a longer season..yikes. But what I did like tonight is that Pau, Bynum and Mad all had double figit games and he was still able to get 40. Now if that can happen I’ll feel more comfortable. But he’s gonna wear his legs out soon and go cold. I HOPE I’M WRONG **knock on wood** Lol.

everyones gotta be realistic here… kobes is approaching his mid 30s and taking over his team by strom is clearly not good in the long run. Take in the fact that he has torn ligaments in his fingers, and has an aging body, dropping 30+ 40 will not help the Lakers. We’ve already witnessed Kobe is half man, half amazing… so maybe he should start sharing the rock a bit more..? (ie: become more of a playmaker, not a ball stopper). Whether you like it or not, Kobe will start to slow down and I think i speak for everyone when I say we dont want to see that happen. Also he wont win MVP this year despite his ridiculous numbers at his age.

The MVP has become more a popularity contest, they change the requirements for it everytime Kobe meets one of them imo lol. J/K but In the past it was the most valuable player for their team, then it was about the player doing the most with less, then it’s for the player on the best team with the best stats, I’m over the MVP.

You gotta ask yourself… Who trains in the offseason like Kobe? Probably just a handful or less. So in reality his one of, if not the best, conditioned athletes there are. So…

Nope?! Are you kidding me? The guy just shot 40+ points 4 games in a row!

He can, just at the expense of his team. If he wants to average 32 a game, he can.

If he keeps trying to get 40 every night instead of trying to get wins, of course.

    We don’t doubt Kobe Bryant.
    We doubt the Lakers.
