Chris Paul’s Advice for Dwight Howard: Keep Playing Hard

Not too long ago, Chris Paul was in Dwight Howard’s shoes, and CP3 told the media in Orlando last night that all he’s advised Howard to do through these awkward times is to remain dominant on the court. From the Sentinel: “Just keep playing hard and doing what he’s doing,’ Paul said after his new team, the Los Angeles Clippers, prepared to play Howard’s Magic on Monday. ‘It’s a tough situation that he’s in, but he can only control what he can. So the best thing that he can do is just keep going out there and playing as hard as he can.’ Before Paul was traded to the Clippers, Magic fans hoped that Howard would attempt to recruit Paul to ask for a trade to Orlando. So did Howard do that? Paul was asked that question Monday, but he didn’t answer the question directly. ‘Me and Dwight are good friends,’ Paul responded. ‘Our parents are probably closer than we are. They talk on a daily basis. So me and Dwight have had conversations, but for me right now with Dwight, I just keep trying to tell him to go out there and be as dominant as he’s been since he came into this league.’”
