  Always been a fan of the Mamba but 4-15 with 7 turnovers is ugly (looking at you Mr. Bryant). Do note everyone, he does also admit that Dirks fadeaway “it’s extremely effective” so lets not get too crazy with the hate. Admitedly though Bryant needs to be careful as we all know Dirk is like the Richard Simmons of yoga.

  Lots of ugly things about that game last night.
  - Ason Kidd not able to sink wide open 3′s.
  - Jason Terry unable to make effective plays or drive and dish when his jumper failed him.
  - both teams missing TEN freethrows in the last few mins of the game (Haywood, Dirk, Snakey, Gasol & Barnes) ridiculous.
  - Carlysle not calling his last timeout after Barnes hit those FT’s for a 4pt lead. Then watching Terry heave a desperation 3 in a futile attempt at being the hero.
  - Mavs 4th quarter execution and subs
  And finally: Lamar (the softie) missing the game for ‘personal reasons. (jeeezus, get over it already and do your job)
  The aesthetics of Dirk’s jumper as judged by the Mambiatch (nice shooting, btw) are the least of Dallas and their fans worries.

  The reason?
  Because, unlike Bean, The King is too big of a personality. Too big of a player in the game. His words carry more weight.

  Matt Bonner the Red Rocket has a pretty hideous jumper too. Kobe was making a joke, but Dirks jumper can be ugly at times that’s just a fact. He’s not saying he’s not a great shooter, or that he’s a better shooter than Dirk. He’s just saying that Dirks jumper looks ugly compared to his. If that was MJ saying his 3 point shot looks better than Reggie Millers everyone would agree and move on.

  Dirk’s jumper is beautiful. High release point, fingers loose on the release, consistent, nice back spin, elbow at the perfect angle and lined up with the basket. His jumper is more fundamentally sound than Kobe’s has ever been.
