Indiana Pacers Signed Kyrylo Fesenko

To replace the recently-retired Jeff Foster, the Pacers inked Fesenko for the rest of the season. Per the Indy Star: “The Indiana Pacers are getting some help in the middle to fill the gap left by Jeff Foster’s retirement. The Pacers signed center Kyrylo Fesenko on Thursday for the rest of the season. Fesenko, a former second-round pick in 2007, spent his first four seasons with the Utah Jazz, where he averaged 2.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes. He’ll compete with Lou Amundson to be Roy Hibbert’s backup at center.”

I can’t think of a more mundane position battle than Amundson v. Fesenko.

I swear teams were trying to acquire Fesenko at the beginning of the season. Wonder why it took so long just to sign somewhere..

    Isn’t Amundson a powerfoward?

I’m telling you guys if anybody is going to make an upset in the 2nd round its the Pacers. This is a deep team that plays defense and has a lot of capable players on offense. Watching their games it doesn’t seem as if they’ve got the best cHemistry but if they play to their full potential, Miami and Chicago better not overestimate them. Paul George is an underrated defender.

Has he been injured? Why has it taken so long for teams to sign this behemoth?
