Jason Kidd Wants to be a General Manager

Jason Kidd tells Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld that he’s still focused on winning his second Chip, but Kidd wants a front office gig after he hangs ‘em up: “Once his playing days are over, Kidd wants to become a general manager. He would rather evaluate talent and build a team than stay on the bench and coach the next generation of players. ‘I would like to go upstairs,’ Kidd said. ‘I’d like to be the person who puts all of the pieces together. We’ll see if that works out.’”

No doubt he should at least get a look as a scout of some sort right? If Cubes doesn’t hire him I would imagine some other team would give him a chance.

He can’t be worse than a lot of the other GMs in the league.

But he might find that talented players are harder to find if he’s not the one passing it to them
