And trade season is officially here. Yahoo!‘s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Warriors will be shipping Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown to Milwaukee in exchange for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson. So it begins.

    2 mediocre teams..stay mediocre?

  • huami

I dont know how to react to this.. Jennings and ellis on 1 team? There are not enough balls to go around!

  • RobbieJay

    stephen jacksons coming homeeee lmao.

  • ripslam

So Cap’n Jack heads back to the Bay after two years?
    -
A Jennings/Monta backcourt is going to be interesting.

  • http://Roosterteeth.com Caboose

Umm, ok? I’ll laugh if this catapults the Bucks into the playoffs over the Knicks.

  • ThatShtCray

    Yeah Kwame.

  • http://www.blogspot.com LLC#12

Seriously though, I dont know what makes less sense, having David Lee and Andrew Bogut on the same team, or having Ellis and Jennings on the same team.

  • http://redoftoothandclaw.ca niQ

    Wowww.

  • ripslam

^^The way NYK is playing that was going to happen anyway…

  • iyciycc

we are clearly tanking the season in order to draft…oh who am i kidding.

Being a warriors fan is painful.

  • DeeDre

Congratulations. The Bucks are now what the Warriors were before the trade.

  • Andrew

Surely the bucks now deal Jennings? And now Monta gets to become the unhappy primadonna star in milwaukee

  • http://slamonline.com Fut.

BREAKING: a run’n'gun guard dominated team and a defensive big team swapped conferences and uniforms and called it a trade.

  • Otis

Bogut and Lee in the frontcourt actually makes perfect sense, assuming Bogut is ever healthy – Bogut actually plays defence, which means you have less need to rely on Lee attempting to do so. Jennings and Monta in the same backcourt is madness, however

  • http://nbasobrietystrike.blogspot.com/ CoolWhip

Who plays more (or less) games next year: Bogut or Beidrins?
I don’t see Bucks shipping out Jennings while he’s under his rookie contract still (but really, after this trade, who knows).
If Jennings stays, and with an inured Rubio in Minny, we might have a new League Pass darling.

Maybe their setting up to trade again??? like Jennings outta Milwaukee? This trade doesnt really make sense to me, I just dont see a benefit to the teams involved.

Thats Sucha Nice Pickup For The Bucks Because As Good As Bogut Is, He’s Too Often Injured I Feel Like They Just Basically Traded Stephen Jackson For Ellis, Udoh, And Kwame.. Well Played Bucks.. Well Played.. Haha

  • AiRsMiTh

Hoping there is more to come. Disappointed in losing Ellis.

  • http://www.twitter.com/hurstysyd Hursty

Warriors get a legitimate defensive C who can actually score in Bogut – when healthy. Bucks can finally score the ball when Jennings can’t get going.

  • Ill Smith

Capn Jack back in the Bay. Monta & Jennings in the same backcourt. Bogut’s still weeks away from coming back. Of course GS & Milwaukee pull off a trade that everyone loses.

  • Aamir K.

As a GSW fan, I’m happy we have a legit center in Bogut, but he’s injured and so is Steph…

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

Monta and Steph didn’t work. Why the f*ck do people think Monta and a smaller, worse player is going to be any better? Milwaukee was just getting as much as they possibly could for Bogut. I expect Ellis or Jennings to get dealt this summer. As for GS, Curry, Klay Thompson, David Lee, Andrew Bogut is solid going forward. Assuming health. But Regarding this season, they just pulled the plug. They trying to insure they keep their top 7 protected pick as much as they are trying to improve.

I Know This Is Off Topic But Who Here Thinks Raptors Will Make Some Trades? Because Its So Dissapointing Living In Toronto.. Its Like Let Down After Let Down Haha

  • Albie1kenobi

Welcome back, Stephen Jackson. I remember you asked for a trade last time warriors gave you a contract extension

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

Like 40% something happens with Calderon RK. About 0% chance they improve.

  • RunNGun

Not a bad trade at all for THE CITY… Bogut at C, Lee at PF, and Captain Jack at SF; that’s a decent front court. And wow, Monta Ellis and Greg Jennings in Milwaukee’s back court, eh? I wonder how that’s going to work with two ball-dominant guards…

  • oh nose

GS is riding their future on 2 players with glass joints, sucks to be them

  • http://www.google.com/news BETCATS

I am actually really interested in seeing a Monta/Jennings duo.

  • robb

  • kablamo

Expect monta and skiles to get in a feud in the nxt week!

  • http://www.nba.com VanCityBBall

when steph and bogut get to 100% that warriors team is gunna be scary

  • http://www.slamonline.com RKJ92

Ey Ty Nbk, I Feel Like The Raps Could Become Really Good Though If They Just Trade For A Lottery Pick In This Years Draft With Say Amir Johnson, James Johnson Or Calderon As Pieces To Give Up; Im Really Hoping We Can Pick Up A Decent Small Forward And Legitimate Center, In This Years Draft. Espn Shows Andre Drummond Dropping Down From The 2nd To 4th Pick So Hopefully We Can Snag Him.

I think Jennings is more of a point guard than Curry, and the biggest reason people questioned if Curry and Monta could work was because of size/defense. I think Monta has shown he can play defense this year. I will miss him honestly, but as I said I think he’s not the matador defender as people have claimed he is. He’s always in contention for having most steals, and whereas in year’s past it was in the passing lanes, this year, he has just taken the ball from opposing guards. He’s obviously still a small two guard, but I’m interested in a Jennings/Ellis backcourt. I don’t think there are any quicker backcourts. I think Monta could play off the ball better with a point guard, but then again maybe I haven’t seen Jennings/Bucks play enough. He has a reputation as a chucker, but I think he has better playmaking skills than Curry.

  • LA Huey

Jennings and Monta are going to kill each other. Bogut and Curry are going to be a great duo on the operating table.

  • jake

WARNING!!! THE BUCKS ARE GOING TO BE NASTY…

  • Dingo Rob

Good luck Bogut, he has a had 2 major injuries – one freak fall and a bad land on someones foot – somewhat both injuries a little unlucky. He is not made of glass that’s for sure and he is no Greg Oden, he will come back strong and is a good pick up for GS.

  • Hart26

BOGUT AND LEE NEXT YEAR! WOW!

  • Shem

Win win for both teams. Mil basically turned no production into Monta Ellis. Bogut was injured and SJax had an attitude with the coach as well as no playing time. Warriors finally clear up their guard situation and get a center. Jackson also made a playoff run with the Warriors and will most likely be in the starting line. If Bogut stays healthy Warriors win in the long run.

  • abaci

I don’t understand this trade. not even a little bit

  • MUBWAR

now the knicks should be scared. that bucks backcourt is ridiculous with the way jennings has been playing lately and the western conference player of the week Ellis. The happiest man in this trade. up coming rapper StackJak…lool

one thing about monta: he can be effective without the ball, cuz he cuts and runs off picks.
very sad to see him go though. i’m really not following what the warriors are going for, especially because bogut and curry are so injury prone. now that udoh is gone, who the hell comes off the bench to relieve biedrins and david lee?

  • dma

GSW tanking for sure now since their pick is top 7 protected or something. i don’t know how you W fans deal with this nonsense.

  • alphabeta

With the green uniforms the Bucks got and all the tats Monta got, he will look like he is wearing a full sleeve shirt on while playing.

  • abaci

    @RunNGun Brandon Jennings not Greg

  • abaci

So if Jennings goes to the lakers, i called it first.

  • http://www.slamonline.com megatron

As a warriors fan, im happy with this trade. While exciting, monta and steph clearly were not going to work out. If Bogut can stay healthy, which I feel is is more likely than people think, that will be a solid frontcourt. Now klay thompson gets more time to develop and im so down with tanking this season. I really didn’t want them to lose that pick.

  • http://www.slamonline.com TADOne

Udoh is actually a very good but raw talent. I think Drew Gooden could tutor his offensive game to respectability.

  • will

Horrible trade for warriors and it hurts me as monte is, in my opinion the most underated guard in the NBA. Warriors came up short on this and I am pissed myself. Id rather it been curry on the way out, I’m sick of that kid already, yea he hits big shots but he turns the ball over at crucial moments of the game, not to mention he is weak. Well at least Monte will get a good shot at the playoffs, my best thoughts go out to him as he gave warrior fans a lot of great entertainment will miss watching his athleticism :( .

  • http://www.slamonline.com megatron

@RKJ92, Valanciunas is probably going to come over for the start of next year, I think he is going to be good at the 5. Im hoping the raps are somehow able to get Harrison Barnes. That would be dope for sure.
